What I say “no” to says more about my direction than what I say “yes” to.

Last year was busy and there were inevitable demands on time from different angles.

Some things were fun but not valuable, some things were valuable but not fun, many things were valuable and fun, and some things were simply distractions.

When time is short I learned that if I am saying no to valuable things then I am moving in the wrong direction.

Tracking what I said no to during each part of the year helped me check that I was saying no to the right things.

I found using a wheel of life with 8 important elements helped me to balance time across the year.

There are moments when one thing takes over, but it is important we rebalance over the next few months.
