The Top 5 Things I Learned Last Year. Number 3

Number 3

How I feel is not what others see.

In 2024 we delivered a number of client events that were built in partnership with performers to share skills and techniques for performance when communicating to an audience.

They were a huge hit and augmented the other Foxleigh products perfectly built on the same philosophies and using models connected to succeeding with even difficult customers.

During each workshop someone tried something new in their presentation and spoke to the group about how uncomfortable it felt.

They would do something that felt “BIG”- over-performing and in each case the audience saw confidence and something wonderful and engaging.

I took the same lessons myself.

I delivered some projects, events, and content that at the time felt dangerous. They were something I hadn’t imagined being able to do.

However the feedback from close observers was that they were excellent.

The most rewarding piece of feedback came from my Spanish teacher Natalia at Christmas who said of my visit to her home to immerse myself in Spanish and our lessons that her boyfriend and friends thought my Spanish was “super fluent” – despite how it felt!
